Getting Started on Twitch
Hi Rec Poker Community!
Several folks – including me! – have been asking “How do I get started on Twitch?”
Be sure to reply with additional links, any helpful tips & tricks and/or a link to your Twitch channel. While it’s a work-in-progress, here’s mine: MezzoDana – Twitch

Since the Pokerverse is chockfull of content, maybe you’re not sure how to stand out in the crowd. Start with what you know AND what you don’t know.
- In addition to Poker — what are your interests, hobbies, etc.? Make a list of topics you find that connect you with others. Expand on that list through writing or journaling. Here, you’ll maybe come up with a catch phrase or two
- Interview your family and friends about you! You may be surprised what your closest circles find most endearing about your personality. These little nuggets will help you become even more encouraged to get to work on putting yourself out there.
- Build up your audience even before you start streaming. Set up your Twitch profile with a fun profile pic and a “Coming Soon” banner. Get your channel link out to your friends, family, and current followers and added on to all of your social media profiles.
- Set the date! You’ve finally got all your equipment and set up in order — maybe you’ve even given going live a test drive with your close circle of friends and family. Go to your Twitch channel to “Setup your stream schedule.”
