Rob Gardner is a 12 year professional poker player, poker mentor, entrepreneur and Manager of the team 100k poker roster. Rob’s career started almost 20 years ago in local home games, before he hired his first poker coach in 2009 “Mossified84”. It was at that time Rob moved into playing poker professionally, and with the exception of a 2 year hiatus after Black Friday, he has played poker successfully and professionally ever since.
While Rob got his start dominating the game of omaha hi – low, moving his way up to the highest online stakes before Black Friday, Rob transitioned into hold em which has carried him through today. Working poker greats such as HerschelW, Ari “BodogAri” Engel, Jon “Betondrew” Gonzalez, and Ryan “Protential” Laplante, Rob has moved from a low stakes online player to a mid stakes crusher. Since 2009 Rob has never had a losing year, and within the last 2 years he has set new high scores of 26k live and 24k online.
Currently Rob is the head of Team 100k, a poker team of everyday poker pros, representing everyday players. Rob believes that poker is for everyone, not just the players at the top, and he is actively recruiting classy, professional, ambassadors for poker who represent the game with sportsmanship and leadership. Team 100k is the official pro poker team of RecPoker, and RecPoker is the official community home of Team 100k.
Rob also has a passion for poker mentoring. This goes beyond regular poker coaching and hand history reviews. Rob helps players come up with an entire plan, from schedule and bankroll management to game selection and mental game.
