For Craig, life is a constant learning experience, where he is both a student and a teacher. With a degree in neuroscience from Duke University and 30 years of teaching and coaching experience, he’s a lifelong educator who teaches Psychology, Psychology and Ethics of Leadership, Behavioral Economics, and Biology, His educational YouTube channel has garnered over 9 million views.

Craig’s competitive spirit was nurtured by playing card games with his family and participating in high-level athletics including wrestling for Duke. After his athletic career ended, he turned to poker as a new competitive outlet.
Craig was a casual poker for many years, but in 2007 his curiosity and competitive nature led him to pursue a more studied and serious approach to online poker focusing on single-table SNG’s. He began with a $400 investment. By 2008 he was excelling at the $100s-$200’s SNGs on Fulltilt Poker.
In 2010, Craig satellited into his first “live” tournament, the WSOP Main Event, where he finished 152nd out of more than 7000 entrants. He has consistently earned a substantial side income from online poker and has found success in live cash games and tournaments since 2010. (Hendon Mob link).
Craig’s poker education began with Tournament Poker Edge. In 2013, he established a friendship with now-renowned poker coach Carlos Welch, benefiting from insights from Andrew Brokos, Alex Fitzgerald, Ryan Laplante, and Faraz Jaka, often filtered through Carlos’ teaching methods.
In 2022, Craig connected with Rob Gardner in a study session on LPP, recognizing Rob’s exceptional teaching style. They corresponded and Rob invited Craig into a new project he was working on – Team100kPoker.
This led to Craig joining Team 100K Poker as the “chief learning officer,” organizing study sessions and conducting interviews with poker professionals. As a founding Team100K Team Pro, Craig represents everyday poker players, offering valuable insights as someone who balances professional poker with a career.
When not teaching or playing poker, Craig enjoys exercising, hiking, and other outdoor activities with his wife and dog. He is passionate about teaching, learning, and connecting with people and their stories.
