Ambitious November (for October winners) TOC final table hand
Trying this again without links. I played a hand at the Tournament of Champions Final Table from November 2022 .
You can see it on the RecPoker YouTube channel. It stars around 12:11 It got mixed reviews at best in the Online Review and Hang. I’m starting to like it more than I did right after. 8 left in Silver Pin fight I am 1 of 4 danger zone stacks (1 is micro) 2 big stacks 2 medium. Fellow small stack min raises UTG+1 micro goes all in for less than a full raise. Foldsto me with 10-5 off suit but I can close the action for 1057 with 4357 in the pot leaving me with about 4000 (less than pot) and a plan to go with it if I hit anything (pair or draw with few high cards) in order to give myself a better chance to run deep and fight for a silver pin. I call as does UTG+1 flop 2-5-2 I wimp out and check but he checks behind. Turn is a 7 rainbow and I get my courage back and shove he folds river Q and my 10-5 beats micro’s A-10 and I get closer to medium stacks.
I think I was fine in not passing up the odds to get a fighting stack probably should have shoved dream flop but definitely happy with shoving the dream second chance turn.

Yup — we are calling here. You nailed all the key points; we are getting great odds, we can go with any hand that hits, and most importantly we close the action.
