  • Are People Folding Two-Pair Here?

This is from a workbook from Red Chip Poker. See the attached screenshot. The figures I filled out are correct, according to the answer sheet.

The scenario has V calling down a triple barrel including a 75% river bet with top pair or better. But V is folding any two-pair including top two to a 150% river overbet.

The math strongly suggests the overbet, mainly because the overbet is folding out all two-pairs. Most of the made combos that called the double barrel but fold to the river overbet are top pair. But that seems reasonable.

For the curious among you, I attached a (*.txt) file with the V range that you can copy/paste into Flopzilla.

Are 5/10 cash game players really folding KJ here? How about the lower two-pairs?

Interesting spot. I am no expert, but I can say in the last week I’ve both folded two pair to big sized barrels and called down with a weak one pair. Live you can get a sense of v profile and how many bluffs they have in range. I think this makes all the difference in how much of my range I call down with. But I would say they fold much less at 1/3 than 2/5 or 5/10. So I would not try a bluff like this at the lowest stake in a room or vs. certain opponents.

This doesn’t look like a scary board for KJ. FD missed. No SD on flop although BD draws did complete (T9, 76). V does a few sets (KK, 99), but KJ blocks top set.

    I think KJ calls here.
