I would have played it much the same as you. Once they call your c-bet and a K hits on the turn all I’d want to do is get to showdown. Haven’t run any numbers on it, but they certainly have many queens in their range. While I’m not sure how many players would check the lead on the river with a Q, certainly some will, especially with the board pairing. So I think almost everything that would have called a river bet by you would beat you, with the possible exception of AK? Basically, in my opinion you made the best of a bad runout for AA. And I think AA is too strong a hand for you to have tried to turn it into a bluff (representing a Q) on the turn….

    Thanks for the feedback.

So we both miss a lot of value here – or at least that was the feedback i received.

The bb should be super wide.

I min opened he should be defending super wide – especially as the CL where he can look to exert pressure – I dont think we should assign him a tight range.

    When we check behind turn.

We should hear from the villain if we are beat on the river –

We now beat all 2 pair hands.

we lose to straights and full houses.

Hes very unlikely to have a full house as he would have bet to protect his set with the board with the straight on it.

And is likely to bet the straight as he wont want to miss value.

All 2 pair hands he wants to get to showdown with.

I think we should have bet the river – say 1/3 pot and charge those hands.

Its thin value – but i think thin value spots are the diff between an average player and a good player.

    Love to hear your thoughts.
