Irish Poker Open 6-max delayed c-bet hand 1 OOP and hand 2 IP
Hi @petvet I thought these might be good hands for your review group. People were giving my 3-bets a ton of credit, even when I ‘gave up’ and checked flops. So I was looking to capitalize on that with delayed cbets and delayed double barrels.

level 13, late reg is closed but we have not quite made the money yet so I can apply some bubble pressure as a bigger stack at my table
blinds 2,500 / 5k / 5k
I have 42 bigs (210,000) and cover villain by a few, he has about 40 bigs (200,000)
villain HJ opens 2x to 10k, button calls, hero in SB with Ah6h 3! to 8bigs 40k, blinds fold, OR villain calls, btn folds.
Flop – pot is 20.5 bigs – JTTr – X,X
Turn – 20.5 bigs – JTT 8 rainbow – hero lead 6 bigs into 20.5, villain calls
river – 32.5 bigs – JTT 8 2 – hero shoves 28 bigs, villain folds and says “JJ is the only hand you 3-bet and then check that flop”

level 22, 11 players left, final table combines at 7 players
blinds 20,000 / 40,000 / 40,000 I have about 1,400,000 chips so about 35 bigs
villain is an excellent french player, really savvy and everyone knew him – he covers me by a bit, has less than 2M chips
villain opens HJ 2x to 80k, hero in btn 3! to 5.5 bigs or 220k blinds fold, OR calls
flop – pot is 13.5 bigs – KTTr – X, X
turn – 13.5 bigs – KTTr 4r – X, hero bets 4 bigs, villain calls
river – 21.5 bigs – KTT 4 6 – X, hero bets 15 bigs (more than half my stack) villain folds and says “I folded JJ i am sure you had KK there.” I say nothing and just nod politely as I stack up the chips. He says “if I 4bet shove preflop there, you call, yes?” I say “I would have to think about it” and he says “I don’t believe you”
if he was a worse player I would have considered giving him more info about my hand or thinking – but just played it mum and tried to give away as little as possible. He busted a couple orbits later, which was great because he was def one of the better players left in the field.

We can definitely discuss these in my hand history review tonight. Two questions; first hand – was there a heart on the flop? Second question – what were you holding in 2nd hand?

second hand – Jh8h also no heart on flop
