So I didn’t have a hand to put in the forums last week and this group caught my eye and I have seriously been considering running a winter stream.
But to do this I might have a few questions and need some help along the way.
My main goal for the stream is to put my best foot forward for Rec Poker. One of the ways for me to do this is to promote the International Home Game Series which is the main MTT I play in Rec Poker. I would love to see the entry levels increase not only in the morning game but also in the afternoon. What other ways can I promote Rec Poker on stream?
Another big goal of mine is to do a proper bankroll challenge. I have attempted them in the past but never got fully committed. When I come back I want to have a proper bankroll challenge setup on stream for viewers to follow along on the ups and downs. My question to everyone here is what is the best way to do this? I would like to have it set up right on my stream and be accessible for me to change on the fly as I bust/cash tournaments.
A schedule is nice so I’m trying to figure out the best days to stream. Obviously Saturday and Sunday but 2 or maybe 3 weekdays would be nice. Should I go with the flow and pick random weekdays or have a fixed schedule that I go by every week?
One of my last goals when I return is to have a better visual setup as far as background, lighting, music etc. Any tips would be great in this area. I played with it a little bit when I streamed before but not enough to get confident with it. Suggestions for free/cheap music options would also be great.

Do you have the Rec Poker skin for streams? Taylor uses it in his weekly streams.

Yeah, I recommend getting the skin. I think it is in the process of being available for free in the store. I don’t think it is there yet, but will be on this page soon: https://rec.poker/shop/membership/spread-the-word/
Do you use Stream Elements? It is a little bit of a learning curve, but would allow you to have that real time updating on screen if you wanted it. https://streamelements.com/
Music is really tricky. I use a pay service for some things. It isn’t outrageous and has a good selection: https://artlist.io/ | Free is much trickier. If you have any kind of subscription to Apple Music or Spotify, they’ll often have DMCA Free Playlists that you can incorporate (but they aren’t always that good and sometimes a DMCA song slips into the list and then your stream gets dinged).
