Stream Hangs, Need Tips and Suggestions
Sunday my stream hung after awhile. Also PT4 seemed to freeze in the hands list, although the HUD’s continued working. I had installed a plug in to OBS that allows a streamer to add a background to the webcam feed.
The hanging issue was the biggest challenge I faced when I started streaming earlier this year. I haven’t had that kind of issue with recording for YouTube.
Does anyone have any tips for using streaming resources more efficiently?

Honestly you may need a faster pc or to upgrade some things in your pc. without seeing stats of how your pc is running I cant particularly say which it is. The first thing you can do though is try to stream at a lower quality in OBS. Next would be to make sure you only have applications running that are essential for the stream ie your poker app streaming tool and web browser. If the problem persists after doing these steps, while streaming see your computers stats and screen shot them and we can address from there.

Thanks for the tips. I’ve already all but decided to purchase a desktop for streaming, as well as for solvers and for editing videos. My laptop just can’t handle the apps I want to run, the way I want to run them. The last straw was this weekend trying to run Civilization VI on an extended monitor. The time between turns is painful, and the game crashed once too.
