MemberJanuary 18, 2022 at 7:37 pm in reply to: ICM Decision — Chip Leading at the Final TableStand by, I’m going to run this hand in HRC seems like a good one for my ICM bible. I’ll Post the result.

meant mp not co, was looking at the range while typing

Will you be putting out a list like this again for the next book Rob? I’d like to get involved on the next go round.
-
So I looked at this spot in DTO 3way, something new they’ve put out. Your hand is a check raise here because you’re on the weaker side of your kx combos, and when check raised the co can jam but note they’re only jamming the best kings and some draws in the range. But when they jam you still call. Looks fine, just a crap spot that your supposed to go broke in.
-
Also ranges are position dependent, you’re going to be opening less hands from EP or UTG than you will from the HJ and Even more opens off the btn. Same with 3bs you’ll have less 3b against the ep open than you will off the say HJ or BTN. But I do like how your looking at 20bb spots. When I first started my poker study i spent the most time looking at 20-30bb spots because that’s where you’re going to spend most of your tournament life.
-
also a tip, you shouldnt be opening to 2.5 off anything under 60bb. Typically you want. 15-30bb open to 2bb, 30-50/60 2.2/2.3bb, 60-100 2.5 bb and 100 and over 3bb is fine. When you open to 2.5 off 20bb say you get 3b 2 times in a row and have to fold you just cost yourself an extra bb.

MemberJanuary 25, 2022 at 9:19 pm in reply to: ICM Decision — Chip Leading at the Final TableSlightly off here, the pot is 275 on the flop. I personally think if we call here, the pot will play very passively if the player has any Idea of icm implications. But me personally I’m ok with seeing a flop for 100k hoping to hit a set and if I don’t accessing how the other player is playing their hand maybe i can steal maybe I’m good at the end im also ok with folding to a lead out on a 2 broadway flop or A high flop. If we fold the flop still 2nd in chips. But I do like your thinking. I just tend to play gto myself at least to best of my ability and stay away from exploitative poker myself, and don’t want to miss out on +ev spots for something that may or may not come later.

MemberJanuary 24, 2022 at 7:46 pm in reply to: ICM Decision — Chip Leading at the Final TableThe way I take up these spots, is when I think the player isn’t playing GTO and I have a skill advantage. I don’t mind a flat here. I’ll take it to the streets and use my skill advantage and knowledge on post flop play. If you have a skill edge take it to the streets and you can probably steal the pot even if you’re not holding the best hand.

MemberJanuary 23, 2022 at 7:47 pm in reply to: ICM Decision — Chip Leading at the Final TableFor sake of saving an argument. I’ll just go with I’m not sure. But if your assuming that they’re not playing gto and playing very tight. As in only calling with aa kk qq and ak maybe aq. You can at that point profitably jam almost any 2 cards because of the fact they’ll be folding almost every time.

so as you see i have multiple scenes set up. Its very easy to do what i do is just make the one with the whole screen the copy the layout then what you do is click the capture screen and hold ALT button while editing the screen to only be the part of the screen that that table you want is on, once you have that table as the only showing part of your screen you then can enlarge it to fit the window on obs. If you need feel free to reach out to me and we can get on zoom and i can walk you through it. I realize this explanation isn’t the best.

So to accomplish this you just create multiple screens inside of OBS. I’ll include a picture of what my OBS looks like. I can also send you a tutorial on how to accomplish it but basically I have 1 screen that includes my whole screen. Then sectioned out Bits of the screen matching my jurojin layout. So all i do is hit a hotkey with obs pulled up and it switches between them on the Stream. It’s very simple to do. Then all your screens remain “full screen” on the stream but are actually side by side on your pc screen. It’s very helpful.

MemberJanuary 23, 2022 at 5:50 pm in reply to: ICM Decision — Chip Leading at the Final TableIts like a double edged sword, if you think they’re playing tighter than GTO then you can Jam more hands and get more folds. But you can also guarantee that when you do jam and they call your never going to be ahead.

MemberJanuary 23, 2022 at 5:48 pm in reply to: ICM Decision — Chip Leading at the Final TableAlso note, i run a lot of these sims and would be playing this range. Most of the more studied players will be. Granted i think you have to make the assumption of what you think your opponent’s range is and make a decision accordingly.

MemberJanuary 23, 2022 at 5:46 pm in reply to: ICM Decision — Chip Leading at the Final TableThat is with ICM, Most the time when you run sims youd be surprised at how much the ranges differ from what population thinks is ok.
