What stack depths and positions will you be covering? I can gear my DTO stuff around this topic, they have a preflop trainer.

To follow up with thus. You can apply it as you go, however it does not work until you stop the stream and start a new one.

Easy fold. I’ve ran some similar sims here and once it’s opened flatted and 3b our range massively shrinks. We’re usually only going like jj or qq+ and ATs-AJs+ and AQ-AKo.

Never calling a shove here. sure you block the nut strait but thats about it. Also i wouldnt pot cbet ever. you can go big but to get your money in smoothly with 3 equal bets i think you can go about 60ish % of the pot. that being said a check here i believe wouldve been correct. Sure you have the best range for the board. but top set is almost always a pure check, 2 pairs sure you have them but so do opponents that flat pre. I wouldve liked a check more still. can call if its small but if it goes x x b r you can fold now without losing any chips.

I was thinking of going on the back half of june myself. I looked and a 15day stay at bally’s really wasnt terrible. It wasnt nothing fancy but a 2 bed room was like 1k-1200 for that amount of time which i didnt think was terrible.

Im not a big fan of protection bets either. because your either getting called or raised or they fold anyways. it hardly ever changes anything. So say you want to protection bet for 20% of the pot on the river. Are you really going to fold if i click it back and min raise you? probably not. Sure sometimes itll get a worse hand to fold and you dont have to show down. But what happens when you have 3rd pair on the river protection bet to 20% and I 3-4x your hand when you were going to just fold to a half pot bet anyways? now youve lost another 20% of the pot from your stack. Like the other guys said i think we want to be betting as a bluff, to deny equity, or to get value. if you have some show down value but really dont want to put more chips in why do it In my opinion.

I will say your Blind stats could use some addressing Your Vpip is way higher out of the sb vs the bb. it should be the other way around. The sb generally has one of the tighter ranges vs the BB range is usually very wide comparatively. A good exercise i like to do is, say go to your bb stats and pull up last however many hands. You can do this by tournament or database doesn’t really matter. Pull them up then get your note pad up and just start recording the hands that you folded. and just go vs each position. Once you right the hands down by position of the opener then compare to your charts. and make a note next to them in your not pad that say either good fold or missed call or missed 3b. Before you know it, you’ll start recognizing these spots in game. It’s one of my favorite exercises to do and it’s very easy to accomplish. If you need help with it or have any questions, feel free to reach out anytime.

Couple of notes here, KJo is almost always a flat when in the bb facing an ep open. Can be a mix of flat and 3b at 40-50bb effective. 2nd I wouldnt take their stats into consideration. You only have 50 hands on them thats not enough. They could just be getting bad cards. Flop I would deff call cant really raise because most of our Ax that would want to xr here would 3b pre. Turn you can fold, we didnt pick up any more equity. Also if you call what do you want to hit on the river? a Ten sure but if you hit a King and they bet again your in a grim spot.

They could be doing this with any Ax and some of the Qx that has a draw along with it. Also when running spots in equilab you want to be running entire range vs range. Otherwise your results will be skewed. Meaning you wont get to see how your range stacks up vs their range. Lastly what’re you using to determing the UTG range? it looks far too tight to me.

Couple notes, 3b size is too small you should be going 3x the open 7.5 would be a little better. Next note, flop bet was a little large i would go around 7-7.2 on the flop that would be geometric sizing that would get you in smoothly by the river with 3equal betting sizing percentages. then on the turn dont hate a check back villain deff has a lot of Ax in the range, but so do you. So we can barrel again geo metric sizing would be like 13 i think but i could get behind a small block bet here something along the lines of 5-7bb again. if raised we can fold. or if they call and check river again we can comfortably check it back and chalk up our loses. Oh and lastly. Only 82 hands on the villain. I wouldnt take any stats into consideration, usually wait to use any stats until a couple hundred hands on someone. 82 is a very small sample.

Just a quick addition to What rob said . If you iso you look stronger. For me its either a re jam or a flat/fold the only upside to a flat here is if someone else in later postion wakes up you can still get away from it if they jam a massive stack like they did. I can say id never flip for 65bb with AJ but for 18 i would all day. just my 2 cents

    My 2 cents,

Flop I play the same. Deffiently getting called by worse.

Turn not hating it. I don’t mind the lead especially after the xr.

Honestly I probably fold to the river jam. Sure we have 2 pair and it’s a painful fold but at this point we are behind sets, and better 2 pairs. Sure vilain could have busted fd but that may fold turn. Kx that floated the flop xr folds turn bet. Even with the spr I think we can still find a fold. The action suggests he either has us beat or air. And I feel like the hands we beat probably go out on the turn. Would be a good one to run through a solver forsure.

I agree with Taylor. You’ve got a shot here. But you should just play to the best of your ability and have fun playing at a higher level than normal. You’ll see some wizzards and some donkey’s. Just play your game and you’ll be just fine. As far as study goes. I would just keep working on whatever your currently working on. I wouldnt really worry about trying to cram things in that youre not currently working on. Because the reality of it is you probably won’t remember most of it anyways. If your able to navigate a free roll id assume your doing something right. Theyre usually mine fields! GOOD LUCK!!

Perfect. I’ll just plan on doing a week of 20bb then 40 then 80. Will bounce around positions so we can see the differences.

Kind of depends what im trying to look at. For Position dependant hands i try to look at full ring, except for bb and sb. Granted i use HM3 but its similar in the stats it gives you by position. So on HM3 when you look at positions and its not full ring. It will group stuff together. like btn will actually be btn and co, co is like hj lj etc so it gets a little confusing. I had a lot of trouble a few weeks back when doing a stat review. But stats like your BB/100 and adj allin/100 stats will still be accurate and blind stats will still be accurate.

Yea, that’s exactly what I’m saying. Well sort of you don’t have to completely ignore but take them less into consideration when playing and just focus on making the most +ev play. 1-200 you can start taking them lightly. Sub 100 I wouldn’t even look at them

The other day i was playing a tournament in the first 30 hands i noticed my RFI was around 58%. I was not getting out of line. I just happned to have QQ 2 times AA 1 time. KQ suited a couple of times and a few big aces and some meddling pairs. What im getting at is that is far to small of sample to be considering when making decisions. My take on sample sizes. I dont even look at them until they get to 300ish then you have a general idea of how the person plays. for instance another tournament the other day over 100 hands my vpip was very low. but i was also card dead the entire time, no pairs over 88 had ak and aq 1 time each and the rest was me being bored and opening hands that were marginal. it happens.

for instance. EP vs BB not sure the stack depth doesnt really matter. AQx board im betting 100% of the time my hole cards dont matter. When you call ill likely fire again depending on my holding but the flop itself im firing my whole range on the flop doesnt matter. Your hand has enough equity to call the flop but when fired on agian on the turn being you didnt gain much equity you can fold.
