Hi, my name is Mark Zhang. I met Jim Reid on the WSOP 2023 in one of my table draws of a day 2. He told me about RecPoker and after some talking decided to join RecPoker because Jim and I believe I can offer a lot of value to people who take poker on a more competitive level. I have been playing Poker for over 5 years as a job. I have dealt with my fair share of swings and mindset issues and worked with mindset coaches to now have a more professional view of the game. I mostly coach tournaments. I’m mostly the guy at the table when you’re in the BB and think: come on how do you raise my BB again or when I’m in the BB. People will skip an open because they don’t want to be put in a dicey situation for their tournament life on the river. That’s how hard I fight for pots. The moment someone raises my BB they are not aware that if certain runouts come I’m willing to put them to the test for their tournament life when there are 4 tables left. Relentless Aggression in certain spots. Join me in my Office Hours study group every month to find out more about how I think about poker and how you can study like me to get better! Here are a few of my milestones:

2nd Place finish a GGPoker Grand Harbour Superstack €550 event with a €79K prize
Ring won during the 2020 GGPoker WSOP Winter Online Circuit with a $140K prize
GGPoker Bounty Grand Master $315 victory for a $46K prize

I started with small stakes because I did not come from a wealthy family so all my money I earned was through grinding through the ranks. Now I play regularly $100 – $5000 online, and Live poker even up to $10,000. I believe I can offer insights and mindset on how people like David Peters and other crushers in the industry think about the game. My goal in the near future is to become a better poker player than I am now. I would like to win a bracelet event. My coaching is targeted to people who enjoy the strategy aspect of the game and want to play as perfect as humanly possible. I still make tons of errors – so will you! – and that’s ok. Most of my techniques are based on having solid fundamentals. My coaching is targeted to people that want to continue to improve but feel like they have reached a plateau. I believe I can open their eyes to the endless possibilities on how they can make deeper runs and win more pots. I charge $100 for each hour of my time – let’s see what we can accomplish for you by working together.
