  • Loser's table?

Posted by roger_graphex16 on November 10, 2020 at 8:35 pm

Hi All, back before Covid, we used to have a weekly game (tourney, $20 buy-in + $5 bounties) and a $1-2 cash game would start up once we had 4-5 ‘losers’ from the tourney. My prompt exit on my first hand in tonight’s Rec.Poker home game triggered me to think about if we want to do a ‘loser’s’ game? I don’t know if a play money cash game with a fixed buy-in is possible or maybe we could run a second tourney and limit it to those who exit in the first hour. Playing and leaving on the first hand I saw is just awesome! – Roger

We did have a cash game set up but had very little participation. I played it a couple of times and we would only have 2 or 3 people at the table.

Like Rob said, there is a cash game available in the home game that is always open. We have had a few people jump in there after but I think most people are like me and want to bail after busting. Part of the reason we had it was for Twitch if the streamer busted. Perhaps we could start promoting it in conjunction with the tourney rather than just as a ‘losers’ game, because people could do it at the same time. Feel free to invite people to join it by going to each table and telling them you are out there… or if you have any other ideas we are open!
