WSOP 2023 Dates
Posted by 7high11 on January 23, 2023 at 7:29 pmMy 60th birthday gift from my wife is a Vegas trip of my choosing! Always been interested in going to a WSOP, but not sure it is the right time to go based on my bankroll. It looks like the lowest WSOP buy-in is $300. I could do that, but anything over $500 would be too big for me. Are there lots of other smaller buy-ins around town at that time, or should I really plan on making the trip at another time and just playing dailies? I am going to try and satellite into the main event, and if that happens it makes my choice easy…but otherwise?

Those are all bracelet events, which are great. But I know lots of people who go and just play the Daily Deepstacks. Historically, they’ve ranged from $150-400—with a variety of different start times and structures. So you can still get the WSOP experience without the higher buy ins. There are also usually dozens of lower buy in events going on around town too. So you can go play one bracelet event at the WSOP and then spend some time at other series with lower buy ins. So there are a lot of ways to make it work.

Excellent! Not under any illusions that I’m ready for a bracelet yet!
-
Update. It looks like Hendon Mob has the Daily Deepstack schedule. WSOP doesn’t seem to have posted it yet, so definitely double check before confirming travel plans, but this looks similar to what it has been in the past too. https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/festival.php?a=r&n=45937

Kenny Hallaert usually has a spreadsheet of events around town. Looks like it is started already as pinned tweet in his Twitter bio https://twitter.com/spaceyfcb?s=21&t=2wiy_j3Di9814l4t0g162w

Not really clear on what requires moderation but check Kenny Hallaert’s pinned tweet for spreadsheet (SpaceyFCB)

I think I can share it as an admin. I’m not sure how to approve your post though. https://twitter.com/spaceyfcb?s=21&t=2wiy_j3Di9814l4t0g162w

First time I went I only played the dailies that Chris mentioned as well as other casino’s events that were in my buy-in range. Good structures and huge fields so they are still a ton of fun!

Looks like some dates are coming together for me to visit for the last two weeks of June or so – Something like Jun 15/16 to June 28/29 but no flights booked yet.
I’m looking at events:
39 ($1,500 Monster Stack) (Bust A, Play B)
42 ($800 FO)
46 ($500 FO) on my birthday! LFG.
49 ($1,500 TKO)
51 ($500 Tag Team)
53 ($1,500 Milly Maker) (+1R/F)
56 ($500) (+1R)
I hopefully won’t be able to play all of them due to conflicts on multiple-day events *crosses fingers* and I don’t really have the bankroll to fire max bullets in the monster stack AND the milly maker but the rest seem like a reasonable slate. The only REALLY expensive situation would be the milly with up to 4 buy-ins at $1,500 each – that’s $6k (gross) so the only question for me is to see how I’m doing after the first week of winning at cash tables and donking it off in tourneys lol and see if the milly makes sense for a buyin or two.
I’m staying at the Linq for a week and the Horseshoe for a week – Mrs. BLUFFSTORINI found some decent rates god bless her. Where should we plan for a meetup this year, and on what dates? Put your own dates below and we’ll see if we can get some folks together whether it’s during my trip or other RECing Crew members it will be a fun time! Thanks @PetVet for getting this group going!

I’ll be there from June 25-28. Vacation with my wife so likely limited playing time but there is always time for a cocktail!
-
Replies above are a great help all, Thanks!

Hendon Mob posted the WSOP daily deepstacks and satty schedules
-
OK folks I am officially booked for June 15-29 and can’t wait! Who else is down at that time, and what day makes the most sense for a meetup of some kind?
-
I’m just looking at dates now, but one of those 2 weeks is likely. Do you have any hotel to recommend? Email in private is fine if you prefer.
-
I have always found that the Flamingo is a great option anytime – it’s a little older so some parts may be a little run-down but it’s often a fantastic price compared to other hotels on the strip and it is right across the street from the WSOP action at Ballys/Horseshoe/Paris – literally one crosswalk away. Hard to beat.
As it happens this year Mrs. BLUFFSTORINI found some good rates for me elsewhere, so I am staying at the LINQ from June 15-23 and then moving to the Horseshoe from June 23-29.
I have booked a non-smoking double-bed room at each, so I am looking for a RecPoker roommate to help defray the cost if anyone is there for those dates as well and needs somewhere to stay – if anyone is interested, send me an email jim@rec.poker and we’ll see what dates make sense for everyone to fill all the nights. On June 23rd I’ll be moving from one to the other so that day will require checking out and then checking in just fyi. All other days I’ll likely be playing tourneys or cash tables for most waking hours so I’m a good roommate in that I will never be around to bug you in the room hahaha

I’m in Vegas from the 15th to the 25th with a bunch of Australians but would love to organise to hangout during that week. I’m staying at Harrahs so will be close to the action.
-
I just got invited to stay with a friend for the Colossus 6/30-7/3 a $400 event that ITM during first flight, huge entries, I also stay at the Golden Nugget and play dailies which should be fun and has worked well in past. Just planning schedule now.
-
Oh man that’s the best way to do it Doug, way to go!
-
No illusions of bracelets or any other ets, just fun playing poker with friends.
-
-
My travel plans update arriving 6/26 depart 7/3 at Golden Nugget all nights.
-
-
I use PokerAtlas to find the local games but I think there is a Vegas app. Does anyone use other apps?
-
I’ll arrive there on June 24 and play the Salute to Warriors on the 25th. Probably play the Super Seniors on the 27th. Might take my first ever shot at the Colossus later in the week. Leaving July 4. Hoping to play something at the Wynn or Venetian. I’ll be staying with my brother in Vegas the whole time.
-
Booked my flight and room for June 20-25. Staying at Horseshoe for those dates. Planning to play in the Seniors and Tag Team (if my partner doesn’t back out on me) 🙂
