I have a room at Paris booked from June 18-23 with 2 queen beds and will extend the offer for that time for a share of the cost if needed. Priority given to whoever I wish (j/k, a little). Just message me if you’re interested and we will discuss. If it’s one of the nights Jim is there he can have first choice

How late do these go Chris?

Booked my flight and room for June 20-25. Staying at Horseshoe for those dates. Planning to play in the Seniors and Tag Team (if my partner doesn’t back out on me) 🙂

I am always interested in a RunGood event! Unfortunately, I am committed to a couple of other events during that timeframe so it won’t work for me. 🙁
What online sites or groups do you use to hunt down good Airbnb accommodations, besides the obvious airbnb.com?

I was really debating whether to spend the $$ this year for WSOP, but after the FOMO pressures piled up I couldn’t help but pull the trigger and am now scheduled to be staying at Paris between 6/21-7/2. I would definitely be in for meeting up with all the RecPoker peeps so keep me in the loop. I’m targeting playing the Seniors and, of course the tag team. If the drawer of the RP subscribers prize messes up Team Jim Squared, I’d be willing to team up with another Reccie to challenge Jim and his lucky teammate.

I will join if there is an open spot

I don’t have a regular schedule for streaming. I will typically stream when I get to a FT, but try and avoid other’s schedules.

I’m not sure if I will be available that night but I’d like to participate if I am.
Thanks

MemberDecember 11, 2021 at 8:00 pm in reply to: Preflop Action consideration in “satellite” situationJust got a chance to watch the Forums edition of the Podcast where the wizards (Jim R, Chris J, John S, Kim K, Rob W, and Taylor M) discussed this post. I wanted to thank you all for your insight and recommendations on the hand. You all helped me to expand the bounds of my thinking and I appreciate all that you bring to make RecPoker the best community for this game we all love.

MemberNovember 22, 2021 at 8:00 pm in reply to: Preflop Action consideration in “satellite” situationSo after reading both of your very respected thoughts, I feel a lot better about how I played this, although I still believe I did not put the thought into it that it deserved. After the short-stacked UTG shoved for 9k and I saw what I had, my prevailing thought was, “I will jam and I don’t really care if the next two shove (also short stacks) and the bigger stacks will get out of the way.” I couldn’t have been more wrong. The next two DID jam, which surprised me a bit, but when CO asked what my stack was, I got that sick feeling in my gut, and he sure enough called.
UTG K4o
Hero JJ
MP 88
HJ TT
CO AA
The AA held and there were 3 KOs and I was down to 17k.
I lasted two table moves, a double up (which only brought me back around 18k), and two All-in folds before my KTs ran into AA and I was out of Day 1A with about 30 minutes left. gg
Thanks for your input. I only wish I would have at least thought a little bit longer on the “what if the bigger stacks pickup a hand”, but I probably would have done the same thing.

We do not hold Ah… we have AsAd.
I had not thought about that line, very enlightening. I did think about my 3bet as soon as I dropped it and wished I would have gone 10BB.

Thanks for this input. Very good points made, especially about the turn. I’m convinced the turn was my biggest mistake in the hand. The more input I get I’m also certain folding was the 99.99% correct play on the river, but I could have lost much less had I played the turn different.
Much appreciated!

Great info Mark! Thanks!

😢 understood. Safe travels!

I will be at Paris (the hotel, not France, of course) from 6/21-7/2. If whoever draws the Subscriber’s prize messes up and doesn’t pull me for “Team Jim Squared”, I’d be honored to partner up with you.

MemberNovember 23, 2021 at 3:25 pm in reply to: Preflop Action consideration in “satellite” situationI do appreciate your input. It helps to know I “instinctively” made the optimal decision, even if I did not actually think about all the possibilities ahead of time. I’m hoping to take that lesson away from this discussion. Slow down! Give the decision the proper train of thought.
Cheers!
