I’m not worried about them spiking two pair on the river, more that by that point I was hoping/expecting them to have KQ, a weak J that I could play them off with a favourable turn or river, or even something like K6s considering they’re open limping.
Couldn’t get my head around why anyone would chase down that Ace so hard unless it was a misclick.

Good point on stack depth and specific skills Jim. Should we be treating cash as vaguely similar to early deep tournaments where everyone has 50bb+?

And I still don’t see the showdown value in allowing your opponent to draw out on you for free/cheaply when you’ve likely got the best hand right now.

Thank you both! I’ve got a WhatsApp group that I share the killer hands in, but will open this up to a lot more analysis to really get down into the more run-of-the-mill hands.
I generally feel comfortable with all my play when live, it’s rare I’m in a spot that I haven’t got a clue about.
I think my biggest doubt is how often I have to pay for information, and when the blinds are running hyper turbo that can often mean my night is over pretty fast. So putting it down into words right now, I think my biggest improvement will be letting others pay for that information and doing my best to take mental notes so I’m prepared when I’m in the hand.

I hate the idea that I have to play the cards and little else per se, but you’re right in that’s a part of variance and my skill comes from my approach and when I’m not the effective stack in every hand.
