amazing post, @DaChiwaiian thanks for bringing this to the forums! I see our spam filter prevented your YouTube link from being displayed, sorry about that – it’s how we stop bad actors from spamming our forums with links etc.

I just posted these two JJ hands into Kim’s HH review forum (which is just for premium members) but I’ll share them here too since you and I are obviously thinking about the same things – in the first one, I didn’t want to 3-bet the UTG opener so I called instead but I always struggle with which hands to take that line with. The second hand has a very similar flop texture but I raised preflop and am curious what people think about how it affects the dynamic of the hand on later streets.

I was multi-tabling some cash games while doing some paperwork on my other screen so I think I might have done myself a disservice by not playing with focus. Looking forward to seeing what people think about the spots, and how they might have played them instead!

looks like a lot of buzz around the last weekend in June, what are some good places/times to plan a meetup? Tag Team day 2 (Monday 27th) starts at noon so that could be a good morning to grab a late breakfast together or something?

I’m super excited! Heading down to the Flamingo June 25-30 and then back July 5-? at Paris/Bally’s – seems like there is some overlap around the Tag Team event dates, we’ll have to do some kind of meetup around then!

I think there is room for everyone! Click the link when Chris posts it and if there is an extra person we can put them in the ‘on deck circle’ to replace the first player that busts. the more the merrier!

These are great stats Eric! First off, congrats on being a winning player out of the small blind, that is no mean feat! As you know, if people folded every big blind they would lose 100 BBs every 100 hands. And if they folded every small blind, they’d lose 50 BBs / 100 hands. So most players are good enough to lose less than that, by playing strong hands well out of position. But not many players can actually play at a profit out of the blinds, and you are killing it in the SB at over +5BBs/100 or so. Way to go! And the BB all-in value of -19BBs is also excellent. No-one plays the BB at a profit, it’s the price we pay to play the other positions.

a few other notes: as tim says, you are vpiping the SB very wide, but if you are crushing the results then shut my mouth lol I see a cold call 2! stat of 18% which is a natural cutoff for playable hands that don’t get 3! – most players are comfy playing between 18%-24% of hands with 2.5%-8% of those being a 3! when facing a raise. But I see you are 3!ing out of the blinds at a nice high frequency so keep that up. I would look at more 3! bluffs from the button though. Hands that have blockers or postflop equity when called but that are nevertheless close to the bottom of your continuing range, and vs players with a high fold to 3! stat.

    Raise the turn more

X/R every street a little more often when you develop range advantage

cbet the flop more when heads up in position. You are checking back too often.

you are donking the flop from the SB about 13% of the time which seems like a textbook leak except you are doing SO WELL out of the small blind that this is a great example of what I love about poker – it’s not about STATS – it’s about the entire overall STRATEGY and how it is all tied together. Eric you are doing things with other parts of your game that make these SB stats profitable in a way they would not be for someone who was playing other parts of their game differently than you.

finally, you bet the river less frequently when you were the original opener from EP than vs other positions. Maybe you can look to bet more thinly with made hands that you are checking instead – look for spots to bet thin value against players that never raise you as a bluff. If they only every raise you with value, then you can confidently bet and fold to the raise, as they are playing face-up to you – they call when you beat them, and they raise when they beat you. Easy game.

Thanks for sharing this set of data with us @eanderson85 I love seeing how different players put their reports and filters together and you have a great mind for PokerTracker. It’s wonderful that we have so many great members here that we can all share our own material with like this. Keep it up!

hmmmm as I’m in Canada this is not something I’m familiar with – maybe @PokerGeekMN knows if there’s been some kind of update or change to the software – sounds annoying, @7High11 so I hope we can get to the bottom of it!

well well well – I can’t break any news here yet, but it looks like Friday June 24th and Saturday June 25th might be good days to be in Minnesota! 👀 If so, I might have to adjust my vegas plans to skew a little later – the tag team event starts on the 26th so you know I’ll be there for that!

hey @Misclickdonkey 11-12 days in the end of June might be the perfect trip for me – let me know if you are looking for a bunkie for that second room! I just have to pow-wow with Mrs. BLUFFSTORINI to confirm dates.

me too! Everyone’s got gonads, so put ’em on the table, boys and girls!

Eric it’s a huge help to have other people’s filters and reports available, I know how much time it can take to track all that down in the right format – and that doesn’t even count the time you spend thinking about it beforehand! See if you can upload the file itself here by attaching it – we are trying to allow people to upload PT4 files directly to the forums.
